This 3BHK Duplex Apartment Exudes Serenity | Bonita Casa

Nestled in a very old condominium of Gurgaon, this 3BHK duplex apartment exudes serenity, warmth, and simplicity. At its core, it comprises a living and dining area, kitchen, three bedrooms. Manvinder has beautifully transformed the space with a keen emphasis on functionality, sustainability, and a seamless blend of old and new elements.

Living Room

The living and dining area of this duplex apartment is a pastel paradise with hints of mint green, peach, dusky pink, and green. In addition to it, a full-wall-length TV unit has plenty storage for all the media paraphernalia. Additionally, a super comfortable bay window seating looks out to the thick green cover of the society, connecting the outdoors with indoors.

On either side of the bay seating, we also added floating shelves to showcase all the curiosities and pictures that the family wants to keep.

We custom designed a mint green lounger with brass pins and fluted sides for the living area since the family wanted a sofa cum bed.

Dining Area

The dining area adorns a quartz table top with beautiful beige chairs and a dusky pink bench, making it more functional. Additionally, a circular chandelier adorns the entire space, serving as the showstopper.

Kitchen

Furthermore, one can move into a very clean olive-green kitchen through a custom fluted glass door. It’s a parallel kitchen with the washing section moved to the end. We demolished the inner wall to create more space in the kitchen. Additionally, white kalinga enhances the beauty of this kitchen.

Bedroom

Further, the guest’s or parents’ bedroom has a vertically trimmed headboard wall against which a custom lavender-tone headboard is placed with floating bedside tables.

Correspondingly, we upholstered the wing chair in nature-inspired floral fabric with lavender and grey hues. This room has a mandir too, with seating underneath for the elderly to pray comfortably.

A beautiful glass railing with a wooden handrail and a white Indian marble staircase leads you to the upper floor of the duplex. Furthermore, we added family pictures on the staircase to walk down memory lane. We also added beautiful wainscoting in the wall colour to define the staircase area.

First Floor of the Duplex Apartment

Upper floor of the duplex apartment houses the master bedroom and the kid’s bedroom.

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom is adorned with a plush pastel pink and beige sanctuary with dashes of grey. Meanwhile, an easy chair is on the side with a floor lamp, and a plant is the perfect nook to enjoy your hot cocoa. The curvy TV unit adds softness to the linear space.

Moving further, the pastel pink wardrobe has a seamlessly connected study desk that looks out to the horizon and terrace. Rich linen drapery with embroidered sheers adds that oomph and lux factor to this bedroom. Whereas, the rich wooden flooring adds a lot of warmth and brings the space together.

Kids Bedroom

The kids’ bedroom is specially designed for the twins—a boy and a girl. There is a beautiful custom-designed hut-shaped sectional bed for the twins with a protective railing in rubber wood. Additionally, the hut continues in the form of a chalkboard paint wall to the end.

We added a bright sunshine yellow toy storage rack with jute baskets, well within reach of the kids, to promote their independence. Additionally, we included a fun boucle sofa cum bed in the space for any elderly individuals watching the kids.

A quirky circular rug with a star in the centre binds the space and looks great on the wooden flooring. We wallpapered both walls, one with a world map and the other with simple fluid dash strokes in different colours.

Summary

A home with timeless interiors tailored to the family’s needs strikes a fine balance between the old and the new. Also, the neutral and pastel colour palette with a lot of room to allow natural light and vision helps in connecting the rich green outdoors with the indoors.
